idea: A girl is walking through the woods thinking of suicide. Moments in time shows the woods empty showing she is irrelevant to that world. It's these moments that show a world of her already gone, nonexistant, already dead. When she stands in front of the camera there will be different dialouge each time.
Time #1 She asks if she belongs
Time #2 she isn't sure of the reality
Time #3 moments of happiness all eventually lead back to here.
Backwards thinking=backwards walking
forwards thinking=forward walking
the quick snaps of time is the anxiety that quickly leads to her death. Death scene has not been added yet. She will be seen dead right before you see her walking forwards in the last scene.
In the end she walks away because death isn't an option, she leaves the consideration behind once again.
I have already decided that the way she is dressed in this rough copy isn't appropriate. Instead her jeans will not be ripped in the second draft, she will wear a normal black shirt, and black shoes. Unless the shoes are not distracting enough.
I think the video doesn't have enough light so it looks a little grainy.
There is no audio yet so don't worry, you're not missing anything.
I'm not sure of what audio to use between dialogue. What audio do you think of when time goes backwards? Do those shoes distract you? Thoughts?
You have such a rich idea and interesting ideas for shots and scenes. I really like it all. Just keep experimenting with effects and filters and different compositions and I think you'll have a really strong piece.
ReplyDeleteI think the shots that you got are really beautiful. I was glad that you included a description because i did not interpret suicide at all from the video i the beginning. The backwards walking makes it really unique. I think it will be a really great video
ReplyDeletei can tell you put a lot of thought into the concept for your video. the ideas you have are interesting and i am looking forward to seeing more. one of the strongest aspects of what you have so far is the camera angle. i love how the shot is low to the ground and you can her walking in and out of the scene from ground-level. i think that the reversed walking is a little distracting because it seems so unnatural so maybe editing could be used to make it more dream-like and less jarring.
